Phyn is a company that offers intelligent water solutions designed to help homeowners protect their homes from water damage, conserve water, and save money. Their flagship product, the Phyn Plus Smart Water Assistant + Shutoff, is a device that monitors a home's entire plumbing system for leaks and can automatically shut off the water supply in case of a catastrophic leak.

The Phyn Plus uses patented high-definition pressure wave analysis technology to measure microscopic changes in water pressure 240 times per second. This allows it to learn and categorize each water fixture in the home, enabling it to detect leaks ranging from small drips to burst pipes with unmatched accuracy. In addition to leak detection and automatic shutoff, the Phyn Plus provides detailed insights into a household's water usage, helps diagnose tiny leaks through daily "Plumbing Checks," and can detect potential frozen pipe situations.

Phyn's technology was developed through nearly a decade of research at the University of Washington and Belkin International, the company that originally acquired and refined the technology before spinning off Phyn as a separate entity in 2016. The Phyn Plus can be professionally installed indoors or outdoors, and works with voice assistants like Alexa and Google Assistant, as well as IFTTT for smart home integration.

In March 2023, Phyn announced an exclusive partnership with EcoWater Systems, a leading manufacturer of water softeners, to offer Phyn's solutions through EcoWater's extensive North American dealer network.
