MOBILESOC is an iOS and Android app that provides remote collaboration, workflow, and on-the-go alert responses via Threat Analytics Plugins (TAPS). The company’s MDR services integrate with endpoint detection and response (EDR), extended detection and response (XDR), and security information and event management (SIEM) platforms such as CrowdStrike and SentinelOne to deliver managed security services.

Critical Start provides early threat detection to reduce incident response time in order to minimize the breach impact. The company’s Trusted Behavior Registry (TBR) which is built into the ZTAP reduces false positives by automatically resolving them at scale. Critical Start’s Cyber Research Unit (CRU) offers its cybersecurity incident response services within 1 hour time to detect (TTD) and mean time to resolution (MTTR). The cybersecurity incident response services comprise tabletop exercise (security testing and resilience building through moderated scenarios), cybersecurity readiness assessment, incident response monitoring and threat hunting, on-site training, digital forensics, malware reverse engineering, reporting, and debrief.

Over 2019–2021, the company recorded a 400% growth in annual recurring revenue (ARR). Critical Start operates in the manufacturing, retail, government, healthcare, financial services, and energy sectors.

In April 2022, the company raised USD 215 million in funding from Vista Equity Partners. The company expected to use the funds to accelerate growth and expand its MDR offerings.
