Therefore, most clients are able to move into their new homes faster within an average period of 10 days.
Orchard currently operates its full suite of services in six metropolitan areas across three states: Texas (Austin, Dallas-Forth Worth, Houston, and San Antonio), Georgia (Atlanta), and Colorado (Denver). In addition to these markets, Orchard's home-buying services extend to a broader range of states, where its agents assist customers to purchase new construction or re-sale homes. These states include Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, North Carolina, New Mexico, Ohio, Oregon, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Washington.
In March 2020, Orchard added two new features to its platform—Home Match and Photo Switch. Home Match is a quiz-based algorithm that allows users to perform filtered property searches to find listings based on customer-specific home features like bedroom size, floor plan style, etc. Photo Switch uses scanning technology to allow users to browse through listings and find homes based on saved pictures from their devices, which portray the desired home features. Orchard claims that these two new features are distinctive to its platform. The platform continued its new product spree by launching Orchard Dashboard in October 2020, a digital platform to help clients manage their real estate transactions. It features the ability to share property listings online, 3D home tours, real-time feedback from potential buyers, sign virtual documents, etc.
The platform generates revenue through commissions, charging a fee of 6% of the home sale value.
