Municipal Parking Service (MPS) offers a suite of smart parking technology products to municipalities, universities, private operators, and marinas. 

MPS offers the following software and hardware solutions:

Safety Stick: A patented hardware solution with solar-powered HD cameras that can be installed in no-parking zones to reduce illegal and dangerous parking behavior with radar vehicle detection technology. This data can be uploaded to the cloud, with enforcement personnel approving it afterward. A citation is then sent by mail to the vehicle owner. The firm claims this solution will reduce illegal parking by 95%. 

Parking Meters: These are equipped with License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology and an interactive interface. It can be handled by a variety of payment options, such as coins and credit cards via the SentryMobile app. 

The SentryOpen Lot system: A patented solution that can transform a gated parking environment into a gateless environment. It includes LPR cameras, ANPR cameras, motion detectors, lane surveillance, and security equipment, along with software such as reporting software, a cloud-based and mobile payment platform. These solutions are integrated to provide an end-to-end parking and revenue control system. 

Sentry Mobile app: Available on both Android and IOS platforms, it provides drivers with real-time information on available parking spaces and enables them to make payments by including card details, view parking balances, add more time, and use the consumer Auto Pay program. 

Dashboard: A fully customizable dashboard that provides detailed reports and analytics. 

Key partnerships and customers

The company’s parking lot and garage management solutions and other products are deployed on the streets and garages in over 150 locations in 35 cities. The company collaborates with municipalities, universities, marinas and boat ramps, and private lot operators.

MPS partnered with E-Complish in July 2023 to integrate the latter’s DirectPay Interactive Voice Response system with the company's existing consumer parking meter citation payments process in selected cities across North America.

Funding and Financials

In January 2021, MPS raised USD 1.7 million from a venture round.
