Adventist Health is a nonprofit hybrid healthcare provider that provides physical, mental, spiritual, and social care. Self-identifying as a faith-based health system, the company has a variety of healthcare offerings, including oncology care, men’s health, rehabilitation, specialist care, pediatrics, emergency services, orthopedic care, women’s health, home care, primary care, and virtual care. Adventist operates both a platform and an app, which allows for patients to view test results, securely send messages to clinical staff, read care provider notes, keep a list of current medications, settle bills online, and complete concierge forms before appointments.
As of September 2023, Adventist Health operated 400+ care sites across Hawaii and the West Coast of the US, covering more than 20 hospitals, 250 clinics, and 4,500 providers.
Key customers and partnerships
The company partnered with at-home physical therapy provider Luna in September 20223 to expand Adventist’s geographic coverage and offer at-home physical therapy care to patients. Through the partnership, Adventist Health patients would be matched with local Luna therapists, who will provide care at patients’ homes. The same therapist would treat the patient throughout the entire treatment plan, and patients and therapists could communicate between visits.
