Decentriq

Decentriq is a privacy-preserving data collaboration startup that provides a secure and compliant data clean room platform, which is powered by AI, confidential computing (encryption-in-use technology), and privacy-enhancing technologies (synthetic data and differential privacy). The platform ensures that data owners remain in full control over their sensitive data and facilitates secure multi-party data collaboration while preserving privacy in compliance with regulations such as the GDPR and CCPA. The platform can be integrated to existing data analytics tools (Python, R, and machine learning) used by a company, and then data can be uploaded from sources such as static files, local databases, and cloud storage repositories.

Key Customers and Partnerships

Decentriq serves customers in the healthcare and life sciences, banking, insurance, market research, media and advertising, and retail and consumer goods industries. As of March 2022, the company had an employee headcount of 20 and counted more than 100 customers including 20 of the globally largest pharmaceutical companies. Notable customers include Microsoft, Intel, Mobiliar Insurance, PostFinance, and the Swiss Army.

Decentriq is also one of the founding members of the Confidential Computing Consortium, alongside Microsoft, Google, Meta, and Intel. The alliance was formed to accelerate the adoption of confidential computing via open collaboration.

Funding and Financials

In November 2022, the company raised USD 5 million in a venture debt funding round led by Silicon Valley Bank UK. The funds were utilized to build its platform–"Switzerland of Data” which facilitates secure and confidential data collaboration.
