Phantom AI, founded by Tesla and Hyundai alumni, offers modular advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) for autonomous driving platforms. Its product offerings include 1) “PhantomVision,” a scalable, flexible, deep learning-based 360-degree computer vision solution that can detect vehicles, pedestrians, and objects, and provide motion estimates for automatic braking, adaptive cruise control (ACC), traffic jam assistance, and lane-keeping assistance; 2) “PhantomFusion,” an independent sensor fusion and object tracking system that can create models using cameras, radars, LiDAR and ultrasonic sensors; and 3) “PhantomDrive,” a vehicle control solution that can create vehicle movements by predicting motions of objects detected. Its technology is capable of Level 2/3 autonomy (i.e., technology that can control both the speed and the steering but requires a vigilant safety driver and technology where the driver is not required to maintain full vigilance but must be able to take control if necessary, respectively), and it plans to improve tech to support full autonomy in the future.
