Switzerland-based CREAL is a developer of display technology for digital visualization, using light field technology. The tech is designed to remove the fixed focal plane associated with traditional AR glasses and display hologram-like three-dimensional (3D) images with correct one-eye depth cues. The company states that its display tech is also compatible with prescription lenses.
The launch of its 2023 AR display provides 40 pixels per degree (PPD), with a field of view (FOV) of 36°. The company plans to develop a new model by 2025, which would feature 50 PPD and a 60° FOV. Additionally, the company had plans to launch a VR display by 2025 or later.
