UK-based Healios is a telepsychiatry platform that provides digital interventions for young adults and children with a range of mental health conditions and neurodiverse diseases such as anxiety, autism, low mood, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Digital interventions offered via the company’s mobile app, ThinkNinja, include specialist clinical assessments, video-based therapy sessions with in-network clinicians, self-care tools, and tailored support programs.
Founded in 2013, Heailos adopts a family-centric approach to assessment, therapy, and treatment with the company claiming to have developed the first digital family-focused therapy program for young people with psychosis and schizophrenia. As of May 2021, Healios had worked with 65% of National Health Service Mental Health Trusts and delivered more than 70,000 sessions.
In May 2021, Healios concluded a Series A funding round that brought its total funding up to GBP 9.2 million (USD 13 million) to develop its product, enhance company expertise in AI technology and machine learning, and support its national and international expansion plans.
