Ceres Greens operates a hydroponics vertical farm to grow leafy greens (arugula, lettuces) and herb (basil). Ceres Green’s growing system is designed in a way that reduces carbon footprint, while at the same time conserving water usage. Customers can buy its products through the website of its distributors (Black River Produce and Reinhart Food Service). The company plans to set up similar vertical farming facilities across the country.
