Based in Missouri, Biovante offers fertilizer, seed and plant treatment products, and supplements. The company offers two nitrogen-fixing fertilizer products (for in-furrow and broadcast application, respectively) under its “BioRed” brand, which contain upto five aerobic and anaerobic microbe groups such as actinomycetes, algae, bacteria, fungi, and protozoa.
The company claims that the fertilizer increases available nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium in the soil by 66%, 25%, and 29%, respectively. The fertilizer was also reportedly used in setting the world record for the highest dryland soybean yield by farmer Jimmy Frederick, producing 148 bushels per acre over a five acre land area.
As of June 2022, the company offered 36 products, and its BioRed and BioMate products had been applied to more than 2.3 million acres of farmland.
