High Lander is an Israeli company that develops software solutions for drone fleet management and uncrewed traffic management. Its flagship products are Orion DFM, a platform for creating, managing, and automating drone missions across various applications like public safety, deliveries, security, and precision agriculture; and Vega UTM, a next-generation uncrewed traffic management platform that oversees aerial activity over any airspace.
Orion DFM enables features such as multiple simultaneous missions, beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) flights, real-time cockpit mode, live video feed sharing, and AI-powered object detection and tracking. Vega UTM creates control tower regions to monitor and display aerial activity in real time, autonomously approving or denying flight plans, suggesting flight path modifications, and integrating with counter-drone systems for non-cooperative target recognition.
In November 2023, the Civil Aviation Authority of Israel (CAAI) made it mandatory for drones to continuously broadcast operational data to an approved UTM system, making High Lander's Vega UTM the first licensed provider of this service in Israel. Additionally, Vega UTM was integrated into Speedbird Aero's drone delivery solutions in Brazil as part of High Lander's expansion into the Latin American market.
High Lander's technology has been adopted by the Israeli National Police Force, and the company has secured partnerships with entities like AIR to develop eVTOL management processes. In January 2023, the UAE's EDGE group invested USD 14 million in High Lander to further develop its Universal UTM solution for autonomous systems.
