Arturo offers an AI-based solution for property insurers to use satellite, aerial, and ground-level imagery, along with other sources of property intelligence such as property history, inspection records, etc., to support quoting, underwriting, and claims decisions. Arturo’s platform was internally developed by American Family Insurance and spun out in 2019 as a separate company.
Arturo has partnerships with imagery providers such as Near Space Labs and Vexcel Imaging, and technology companies including Nvidia and Labelbox for data processing capabilities. As of April 2021, the company had experienced 300% year-over-year revenue growth and had carried out 35 million on-demand property analyses for its clients. Arturo’s key clients include insurance businesses such as Hippo Insurance, American Family Insurance, Branch, and IAG.
In October 2024, Arturo launched its Change Detection technology to help insurers monitor and assess property changes. The technology uses AI and geospatial imagery to detect key changes, such as deteriorating roofs or new structures, optimizing risk monitoring and underwriting processes.
