The platform automatically translates messages between teachers and students’ families into over 100 languages. As of February 2021, TalkingPoints was used by more than 3 million teachers and families across the US.
In March 2020, the company received a grant from the Cisco Foundation to develop its platform.
In February 2021, TalkingPoints launched a translated video captioning feature. It allows video messages recorded by teachers in the TalkingPoints app to be translated to more than 100 languages and delivered to parents’ mobile devices via text messages. Families can view the video and read captions in their own language, and respond.
