Based in Israel, 3PLW produces pure “polymer grade” lactic acid from food waste. As of October 2024, the company had developed a proprietary biochemical production process based on Anaerobic Digestion Technology involving hydrolysis and fermentation. The lactic acid is then sold to food and beverage businesses as well as into industrial and personal care markets.

As of October 2024, the company was operating in the US, Israel, and Belgium.

Key customers and partnerships

3PLW has also formed partnerships with “Innovation Nation” (an R&D project to produce bioplastics from waste ) and “closing the loop” (upcycling scrap and bioproducts), which have contributed to 3PLW’s growth.
