The Aquatic Diagnostics Laboratory (ADL) is a specialized facility established in 2013 within the Department of Wildlife & Fisheries at Texas A&M University. As part of the Texas AgriLife Extension Service, ADL offers water quality testing, fish parasite diagnostics, and disease diagnostics services. The laboratory caters to aquaculture producers and private pond and lake owners. ADL's primary focus is on providing research-based analysis, diagnostics, and unbiased recommendations for private water owners and Texas stakeholders. Their expertise encompasses water chemistry for fisheries and aquaculture support, water clearing treatments, parasitology, and bacterial histopathology. In May 2019, ADL implemented an online payment system for their most common tests, including the base water chemistry test and water clearing treatment test. The laboratory's turnaround time for water clearing treatment test results is a minimum of 21 days from sample receipt, while other testing results take at least 14 days.
