Ondas Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: ONDS) is a provider of technology platforms that digitize industrial and government operations. Through its two business units, Ondas Networks and Ondas Autonomous Systems, the company offers mission-critical networks, autonomous drones, counter-drone solutions, and artificial intelligence capabilities to customers in rail, energy, public safety, critical infrastructure, and government markets.

Ondas Networks develops the proprietary, software-defined FullMAX platform, which enables Mission-Critical IoT (MC-IoT) applications by overcoming bandwidth limitations of legacy private licensed wireless networks. This standards-based (802.16s) technology is utilized by railroads, utilities, oil and gas companies, and government entities for a wide range of mission-critical applications.

The Ondas Autonomous Systems unit markets commercial drone solutions such as the Optimus System – the first FAA-certified small UAS for aerial security and data capture. Other offerings include the Scout System and Iron Drone Raider counter-UAS platform. These autonomous, AI-powered drone systems are capable of continuous remote operation and are typically provided as data-as-a-service solutions. In January 2023, Ondas acquired Airobotics, enabling commercial fleet deployments of the Optimus System in urban environments like Dubai. The Iron Drone Raider system, acquired from Iron Drone Ltd. in March 2023, utilizes drones and AI vision to protect against hostile unmanned aircraft.

Key customers and partnerships

In March 2023, Ondas secured a service agreement with a local government entity in Dubai, UAE for ongoing support and maintenance of the installed Optimus System fleet. This autonomous drone infrastructure solution has been extensively utilized for public safety and emergency response applications, conducting thousands of operational flights without human intervention.

Ondas has entered strategic partnerships to enhance its offerings. In March 2024, American Robotics partnered with ResilienX to integrate its airspace safety management system, improving the reliability and performance of autonomous drone operations like the Optimus System. American Robotics also collaborated with the Massachusetts Department of Transportation Aeronautics on an Optimus System pilot program in 2023.

The company continues to expand its customer base in the oil and gas industry. In October 2022, American Robotics received a purchase order from a leading US oil and gas company to deploy the Scout System for monitoring, inspections, and situational awareness in the Permian Basin.
