Abundance Investment is a UK-based financial services company that connects investors with sustainable projects focused on the green economy, housing, and community sectors. It operates as a crowdfunding platform, allowing individuals to invest directly in renewable energy projects such as wind, solar, and anaerobic digestion initiatives, as well as social housing and community municipal investments (CMIs) issued by local authorities.

The company offers two types of investments: company investments and CMIs. Company investments involve funding innovative businesses in sectors like renewable energy and social housing, offering a wide range of risk and return profiles. CMIs, on the other hand, target investments issued by councils across the UK, providing lower-risk opportunities with relatively lower returns.

Abundance Investment follows a rigorous due diligence process before onboarding new projects, assessing their technical, legal, corporate, and financial aspects to ensure transparency and financial sustainability. Since its inception in 2012, the platform has facilitated over GBP 104.6 million in investments across 42 fully-funded projects as of August 2020, with an average project size of GBP 2.5 million.

The minimum investment amount is GBP 5, and investors can expect annual interest rates ranging from 4% to 15%, depending on the project's risk profile. Abundance Investment also offers an Innovative Finance ISA (IF ISA) for UK residents, allowing tax-free investments of up to GBP 20,000 per tax year.
