Funding and financials
This followed its funding In April 2021, the company announced the close of its AUD 5.3 million (approximately USD 4.1 million) funding round, which opened in early 2021. The round’s investors included Jason Peterson (Managing Director, CPS Capital) and Harry Karelis (Chairman, Gemelli Group), and the fresh funding was used to support the opening of a new facility and enter the content streaming space, and position itself as a lifestyle brand.
The investment was reportedly the largest private funding round by an Australian esports organization. As a result of the investment, Karelis joined the company’s board of directors. The company also announced the appointment of Marc Edwards as its new Chief Executive Officer. Edwards served as a commercial manager at Walkinshaw Racing and occupied a senior role at the Melbourne Football Club prior to joining ORDER.
