Dott is a European micromobility operator that provides shared e-scooters and e-bikes to cities across Europe and the Middle East. Founded in 2018 by Henri Moissinac and Maxim Romain, the company operates a fleet of over 40,000 e-scooters and 10,000 e-bikes in top cities across Belgium, France, Israel, Italy, Poland, Spain, and the UK as of February 2022.
Dott's mission is to free cities with clean rides for everyone by offering an environmentally friendly and efficient mode of transportation. Its e-bikes can reach speeds of up to 25 kph, allowing riders to move across cities without causing congestion or pollution. The company reported a significant milestone in 2021 by launching its e-bike service, which broadened the appeal of its micromobility offerings. At the end of 2021, Dott's riders took 130% more trips compared to 2020.
To ensure responsible operations, Dott conducts all its maintenance, repairs, and logistics in-house through specialist teams. The company aims to extend the lifespan of its vehicles to at least five years and recycle or reuse 100% of the components that cannot be repaired. Additionally, Dott is working toward achieving a 100% electric logistics fleet and utilizing renewable energy in all its operational cities.
In January 2024, Dott announced a preliminary agreement to merge with TIER Mobility, another leading European micromobility operator. The combined entity, operating under both brands, is projected to generate combined revenues of EUR 250 million and support over 125 million trips annually across more than 20 countries. This merger positions the new company as Europe's leading micromobility provider, well-positioned for profitability and supporting the transition to more sustainable transportation.
