Vytelle is a precision livestock company that provides an integrated technology platform to accelerate genetic progress in cattle. The company's platform combines Vytelle ADVANCE, a breakthrough in vitro fertilization (IVF) technology, with Vytelle SENSE, an animal performance data capture system, and Vytelle INSIGHT, an AI-based genetic analytics engine. This allows cattle producers to identify their elite genetics and make reliable data-driven mating decisions, improving the predictability of genetic progress and replicating desired genetics faster.

Vytelle's proprietary hormone-free IVF process, including its patented media, delivers high-quality embryos to producers, enabling them to make more valuable calves and maximize genetic progress. As of March 2024, Vytelle had expanded its presence to 17 global laboratories, including eight in the US, strategically positioned to serve the national beef and dairy breeding herd through a network of satellite partners.

In January 2024, Vytelle partnered with Blocktrust Network, a blockchain-based platform, to enhance transparency and efficiency in the beef supply chain. This partnership leverages Vytelle's expertise in characterizing feed-efficient genetics to develop tools that provide buyers with insights into the value of cattle based on their feed efficiency.

Funding and financials

Vytelle’s latest funding round was in April 2023, when it raised USD 20 million in Series B funding led by Grosvenor Food & AgTech, with participation from Serra Ventures and Forage Capital. These funds were earmarked for expanding Vytelle's global operations and enhancing its reproductive technologies.
