Netography provides a cloud-native NDR solution to secure what the company calls the “atomized network,” which comprises cloud, on-premise, and hybrid infrastructure, such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud. The company ingests metadata from these disparate systems to enrich each data stream and provides network visibility and threat detection in an easier-to-deploy package than traditional NDR solutions. The company also provides tailored alerts and automated threat remediation in real time. The company’s technology serves as an alternative to appliance-based models, which require the deployment of additional virtual or non-virtual sensors or appliances to manage, and deep packet inspection, which does not penetrate encrypted network traffic. Netography has customers in the federal government and defense, aerospace and travel, financial services, utilities, and manufacturing industries.

In November 2021, the company raised USD 45 million in a Series A funding round co-led by Bessemer Venture Partners and SYN Ventures. The company plans to use the funds to develop new technology solutions, to invest in market expansion and sales, and to hire around 50 employees, including data scientists as well as machine learning, cloud computing, and security professionals, by the end of 2022.
