Parkable

Parkable is a parking management platform provider for workplaces, commercial properties, and multifamily apartments. The parking management platform enables the operators to register their parking and EV-charging spaces, monetize, manage (visitor parking and long-term parking), and obtain detailed reports relating to occupancy, revenue, etc. 

The company also provides drivers with a free mobile app to search, reserve, and make contactless payments for onsite and offsite parking spaces. The app enables users to book long-term parking share parking spaces by selecting subscription packages and sharing with others when not in use. It also provides EV-parking facilities, where the drivers can locate a parking spot with EV-charging facilities and scan the QR code on the charger, follow a few prompts on the app, end the session, and pay by phone only for the electricity used. 

Apart from the parking management platform and the parking mobile app, Parkable offers three other products that are integrated into the above two. This includes Visitor Parking Solution, which enables easy booking features and sends out automatic parking invites through the Parkable admin panel, and  automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), which provides ANPR cameras and proprietary gate controllers with industry-standard access gates/barriers that enable operators to grant secure, seamless entry and exits. There is also an EV Charger solution, which can manage, monitor, and monetize EV chargers through the app and platform.

Parkable’s offerings are available as a subscription package; Parkable Essentials is suitable for small organizations with up to 25 shared and allocated car parks priced at USD 49 per month. The firm also offers a custom pricing solution, Parkable Plus,  which is ideal for users with complex parking configurations. 

Key partnerships and customers

Parkable has partnered with companies such as Axis Communications, Nedap Lumo Camera, Brivo, Gallagher, and Intergriti for access control (to provide a seamless entry and exit from car parks). The company has integrated with tenant experience apps, such as CBRE Host, HqO, and Cureoscity. Companies such as OKTA, Google, and Microsoft Azure have integrated with Parkable to strengthen security through their SSO encryption while managing Parkable access. Parkable is also expected to enter a partnership with Microsoft to integrate with Microsoft Teams to book, manage, and share parking spaces within the platform.

The company is trusted by customers such as Meta, Datacom, KPMG, Swarovski, and Siemens, who use Parkable’s solution for their workplaces. The following companies use Parkable’s solutions on commercial properties and multifamily apartments: Kiwi Property, JLL, Precinct, Argosy, and Colliers International.

Funding and financials 

In December 2021, the company raised NZD 4.7 million (~ USD 2.80 million) in a venture round led by Pioneer Capital Partners and plans to use the funds to ramp up its growth in the US, UK, and Australian markets.
