GradientAI is an AI-based predictive analytics platform for insurers for use in the underwriting and claims management process. The company’s underwriting solution helps identify risks and determine premiums accordingly, thereby enabling full automation of the underwriting process. GradientAI’s claim management platform helps predict claims, estimate potential claim payouts, manage resources and identify fraudulent claims.

In March 2022, the company announced a partnership with Socotra—a provider of a core insurance platform to improve the ability to assess risk, reduce claim expenses to clients, price policies competitively, and reduce turnaround times through the Socotra platform. 

Gradient AI’s last funding round was in April 2021, where it raised USD 20 million in a Series B funding led by American Family Ventures. The company aimed to use the fresh capital to accelerate customer acquisition and widen its product portfolio.
