Founded in 2017 by Dr. Ryan Todd, headversity provides a mental health and resilience platform designed by clinical psychologists, psychiatrists, and digital learning experts that it launched in 2019. The platform uses "resilience artificial intelligence" in providing preventative workplace training. The platform provides users with real-time feedback on scores achieved by regularly answering interactive questions about their mental health for five minutes. In October 2021, the company launched headversity TEAM, which offers mobile-first training to enterprise teams, based on mental health and safety micro content. As of January 2022, the platform had been used by over 500,000 people across more than 15 industries in 22 countries; customers include Shell, First Group America, LNG Canada, and OMERS.
In September 2022, the company acquired the assets of Health Improvement Solutions (HIS), a provider of health and wellness programs and evaluation tools, allowing headversity to incorporate a health risk assessment methodology into its Workforce Mental Health and Resilience Platform.
