Imba Games Studio, a Vietnam-based developer, released an alpha test of its metaverse platform, Kawaiiverse, on Android and iOS platforms. This follows the successful introduction of their primary game, Kawaii Islands, in 2021. Imba Games Studio is strategically working with Oraichain for this initiative. The collaboration with Oraichain, an AI-powered data oracle and AI layer-1 in the blockchain space, promises enhanced scalability and reduced fees for an improved user experience.
The Kawaiiverse enables users to engage with features and mechanics that characterize the Kawaiiverse experience. Notable features include the Kawaii Marketplace, using BNBChain and Kawaiiverse networks for secure transactions, and Dashboard and Account tabs offering marketplace statistics and user data. The test also grants users access to four new games, such as Kawaii Islands and Kawaii Fishing Saga.
Kawaiiverse aims to evolve into an anime metaverse envisioned as a social hub for users, known as Kawaiians, and businesses. The Kawaiiverse incorporates Hometown archipelagos, which serve as a gateway to the core game, Kawaii Islands. Here, Kawaiians can build homes and produce materials essential for the Kawaiiverse. The Hometown region consists of unique residential areas, each representing a distinctive group of Kawaiians with varied styles and hobbies.
The Kawaiiverse will also feature a Creative Studio, providing players with the means to create game content, decorations, fashion items, and more. Infrastructure tools are set to assist creators and studios with implementing their designs into the Kawaiiverse.
The Kawaii Token (KWT) serves as the fundamental token of Kawaii Islands and is used for purchasing game items in the marketplace, among other utilities. Kawaii Islands allows players to sell essential game items as NFTs in the Kawaii Exclusive Marketplace. Players can also establish their businesses and trade or farm NFTs.
