Ovia Fertility app reportedly makes it easy to log users’ health information and provides fertility projections, feedback, and analysis. The company claims to have collected data from millions of people, and leverage this data to provide personalized predictions. Due to this, the company claims that even women with irregular menstrual cycles can use Ovia to accurately determine their ovulation date.

The fertility app also analyzes fertility data along with health data including symptoms, moods, weight, sleep, blood pressure, activity, and nutrition to make personalized recommendations to improve fertility and overall health. The dashboard enables to view fertility score, how many days the user is into ovulation cycle, and how many remain until the next fertile window, days remaining for the next period, days until the next required pregnancy test (if trying to conceive). Users have the option to change ‘goals’ based on their family planning requirements.

In November 2023, Ovia Health introduced a new fertility and family-building benefit for employers and health plans which aims to provide financial and informational support for individuals looking to start families. The offerings under the new package included the Ovia Wallet funded by employers for covering eligible expenses like IVF, adoption, and surrogacy, which reportedly provides multiple payment options, including a digital wallet, debit card, and reimbursement schemes. The offering includes care navigation services to assist individuals in locating fertility clinics and adoption agencies and provide personalized one-on-one support.

Key customers and partnerships

In November 2021, Ovia Health launched a new birth control tracking feature on the Ovia Fertility app through a partnership with Nurx, a health care service providing access to birth control and emergency contraceptives. This feature was developed to support users with their preferred method of birth control, and it enables them to track the combination pill, the minipill, the extended cycle pill and the intrauterine device.
