SeqOne Genomics, a French bioinformatics startup, provides genomic analysis solutions for clinical applications, supporting biopharma companies that are developing new treatments as well as healthcare providers who treat patients diagnosed with cancer, rare diseases, and hereditary conditions. Its flagship product, the SeqOne Platform, is a cloud-based end-to-end solution that leverages advanced machine learning to curb turnaround times and lower the cost of producing actionable insights for precision medicine.

SeqOne’s platform identifies both commonly accessible genomic variants and challenging variants using exome and whole-genome analysis. Additionally, its GenomeAlert tool automatically checks previous analyses and flags those that might be significantly impacted by variant annotation changes. Its genome analysis support includes both single patient and multiple family member analyses. Additionally, SeqOne has a catalog of bioinformatics applications, called Worksets, to address the unique requirements and challenges of each medical condition. It includes application-specific data validation, an optimized bioinformatics pipeline, variant prioritization, and an interpretation environment.

Funding and Financials

In January 2022, the company raised EUR 20 million (USD 22.6 million) in a Series A funding round led by Omnes and Merieux Equity Partners, which will be used to expedite its international sales and develop new collaborative genomic analysis tools.
