Launched in 2016 by Dr. Rauchberger, Simon Holland, and Tomas Spacek, Australia-based Vivi offers wireless presentation and screen mirroring technology. As of November 2022, Vivi’s technology was being used by more than 60,000 classrooms across 12 countries (including Australia and in Europe, the Middle East, South East Asia, and the Americas), with plans to reach one million classrooms over the next five years.
In December 2021, Vivi raised USD 20 million from Quad Partners. The company’s previous funding round was in January 2020 when it raised USD 4.3 million. The funds will be used for platform development, upgrading its infrastructure, and expanding its sales and marketing teams in the Americas, Europe, and Asia, with a focus on the US. The particular focus on the US is due to the high prevalence of one-to-one computing, where schools and colleges allow students to use electronic devices to access the internet and digital course content.
