Based in Denmark, WasteHero provides an Internet of Things (IoT)-based waste collection system which includes a sensor, and navigation app to measure waste in bins, allow smart waste collection methods, and predict routes to collect waste. Its solutions are aimed at eliminating unnecessary waste collection pickups. The company provides solutions to cities, waste collectors, and organizations, and claims that its services will allow said clients to save 50% of their existing waste management services cost.
The company reports that its sensors can be used in any location around the world. The clients have the flexibility to use their own local SIM card to activate the sensor and monitor waste collection.
