Mosaic Foods

Mosaic Foods is a plant-based meal delivery subscription service that offers frozen, pre-made meals focused on vegetables and whole-food ingredients. As of October 2024, the company provided options including veggie bowls, family meals, pizzas, seasonal smoothies, soups, and oat bowls. All Mosaic meals are claimed to be vegetarian, with vegan choices available as well. The meals are chef-created, flash-frozen to preserve freshness, and contain no artificial ingredients or preservatives. Mosaic emphasizes using local, seasonal ingredients sourced from farms in the Hudson Valley near their New York headquarters.

Customers can choose meal plans with 6, 12, or 18 items delivered weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. Meals can be heated in the microwave for 4–5 minutes or on the stovetop for 7–10 minutes, with family-style options that are oven-ready. 

As of October 2024, Mosaic's menu featured globally inspired cuisines, including Mexican, Moroccan, Indian, and Thai, alongside plant-based recipes such as jackfruit chili and cauliflower tikka masala. The company aimed to make plant-centric eating more convenient and appealing to a wide audience. Mosaic delivers to major metro areas in the Eastern and Western US. 

Key customers and partnerships

Since 2019, Mosaic Foods has partnered with the non-profit organization City Harvest to donate 2 lbs of food to those in need for every box sold. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the company also partnered with the Restaurant Workers Relief Program at Olmsted to supply meals to laid-off restaurant workers, collaborated with Food Love to deliver food to local families, and matched customer donations to Sunday Breakfast Mission, resulting in over 3,000 meals donated. 

Mosaic Foods also partnered with the brands Bob’s Red Mill, Field Roast, and Lahtt Sauce to source whole-food ingredients for its oat bowls.
