Berlin Space Technologies (BST), headquartered in Germany, specializes in small satellite systems and related technologies.

BST’s key offerings include (1) satellite development services such as its LEOS-50 and LEOS-100 systems (2) miniature satellite components such as a range of bus components and CubeSats components, (3) ground support equipment and services and (4) capacity building services.

BST’s range of small satellite systems, including LEOS-50 and LEOS-100, are designed to support various payloads and mission needs. These platforms support diverse applications, from Earth observation to scientific research. The LEOS-50 series includes variants like LEOS-50MR and LEOS-50HR, tailored for different mission requirements. Additionally, the LEOS-100 platform builds on the LEOS-50 avionics with enhanced capabilities for more demanding missions. Furthermore, the company operates a satellite manufacturing facility in India called Azista BST Aerospace (ABA) as a joint venture with Azista Industries Pvt. Ltd, through which the company offers capabilities to build small satellites and cater to mega-constellations. The facility has a manufacturing capacity of a maximum 250 satellites per year (June 2024).

BST’s range of bus components are designed for small satellites and include its ST200 and ST400 star trackers, RWA05 reaction wheel assembly, GPS-110 receiver, and the modular BAT-110 battery system. Additional components such as the Command and Data Handling System (CDH), Power Control Unit (PCU-110), and the Fine Sun Sensor Assembly (FSSA-110) enhance the functionality of its satellite platforms. These components are integral to BST's LEOS small satellite program.

BST offers a range of components specifically designed for CubeSats, including the ST200 star tracker, the iADCS-100 autonomous attitude determination and control system, and the Nano Satellite Air Bearing 2nd Gen for testing. These components are miniaturized and tailored for the unique needs of CubeSats. The products support precise attitude control and testing capabilities essential for successful CubeSat missions.

BST also provides ground support equipment and services like thermal vacuum testing while the BST Capacity Building program focuses on training emerging space nations through a hands-on approach based on its LEOS satellite platforms, including technology transfer, design, and assembly of LEOS micro satellites, in collaboration with European micro satellite research institutions.
