Based in Ohio, NecoTECH offers technologies for sustainable infrastructure and eco-friendly building materials. The company started as the producer of necoPlastics 100% recycled aggregate made of mixed plastics, which is used in the construction materials market as a replacement material in concrete products. In addition to its initial product – necoPlastics, the company currently produces industrial materials under the categories necoPave, and necoCrete. The company also offers advanced equipment for sustainable infrastructure.

necoPave is a Recycled Polymer Modified Asphalt (RPMA) which utilizes polymers (necoPlastics) to enhance its durability. Moreover, the company also offers a Hot Patch on Demand (HOTPOD) system, which claims to be able to repair a damaged airfield right away by delivering Hot Mix Asphalt in no more than 5 minutes. HOTPOD system, commissioned by the USAF and designed by the Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), is said to safely withstand hundreds of passes of F-15 fighter planes and is slated to be available for sale in early 2023.

The company’s other major product – necoCrete, a Carbon Sequestered Concrete, is currently in the laboratory stage, in collaboration with NASA. necoTECH has licensed a patent from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to sequester CO2 and put it back into concrete, already owning the domains for “mooncrete.com,” “marscrete.com,” etc. The company is also conducting research to use recycled and in-situ materials in concrete as sustainable replacements for Portland Cement, with the final product to be available for sale by mid 2023.

In addition to these industrial materials, the company also provides advanced equipment, including Robotic Maintenance Vehicle (RMV) for sealing cracks in the pavement. RMV, which uses an advanced vision system and a robot to measure and seal the cracks, is claimed to be an efficient alternative for traditional road crews, and is scheduled for sale from 2023, for around USD 1 million per vehicle.

As of December 2022, the company has forged R&D partnerships with Army Corps of Engineers: Engineer Research and Development Center(ERDC), United States Air Force Civil Engineering Center (AFCEC), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and Marshall Space Flight Center and Ohio Wesleyan University (OWU), along with product partnerships with, DANNAR, Robotic Maintenance Vehicle (RMV), RAP Management, and The Pavement Group. The company owns licensed patents from ERDC, USAF, NASA, and RMV.

In December 2022 , necoTECH was awarded USD 100,000 winning first place at the “Startup Pitch Challenge” of the Internet Marketing Association (IMA) IMPACT 22 conference.
