 Data infrastructure and analytics company Cloudera has acquired machine-learning infrastructure company Verta. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
 With this acquisition, Cloudera aims to augment its AI capabilities. This is anticipated to be achieved through the integration of Verta's Operational AI platform and the addition of Verta’s team to Cloudera's workforce, potentially furthering Cloudera's expansion in AI.
 Originally a task-based model management platform, Verta has pivoted towards developing large language models (LLMs), which are gaining prominence. Verta has in fact evolved into a control center for such models.
