Model Monitoring
?

Fiddler AI provides a model performance management platform that continuously monitors models with real-time alerts to track model performance, identifying data and prediction drift, data integrity issues, and changes in low-frequency predictions. Fiddler combines explainable AI principles, such as Integrated Gradients and Shapley Values, which includes its award-winning Fiddler SHAP metric, with proprietary methods to provide model explanations and ML model predictions (past, present, and future). It automates the documentation of explainable AI projects and delivers prediction explanations for model governance and model risk management.

The platform provides analytics modeling through a set of dashboards, reports, and charts such as partial dependence plots (PDP). It enables users to perform what-if analyses, test new theories and data modeling concepts, and return model predictions with altered inputs. Users can conduct root-cause analysis with predictive modeling techniques to compare features within models and measure data impacts.

Fiddler also provides tools, expert guidance, and support toward internal model governance processes. The company provides fairness features such as algorithmic bias detection, intersectional bias detection, model fairness, data set fairness, and fairness metrics including disparate impact, demographic parity, equal opportunity, and group benefit.

The company offers its platform through a subscription model.

Key customers and partnerships

As of January 2023, the company served notable customers including Meta AI, AWS, Intel, NVIDIA, In-Q-Tel, and Conjura.

Fiddler collaborated with In-Q-Tel, a non-profit strategic investor that expedites the development and deployment of cutting-edge technologies for US government agencies. Through the partnership, it aimed to deliver explainable AI and model monitoring features to enhance the capabilities of the US government agencies.

Funding and financials

In June 2021, the company raised USD 32 million in a Series B funding round led by Insight Partners. The funds were utilized to launch new solutions to mitigate issues such as bias and data drift, increase its customer base, and drive customer education in Responsible AI. In addition, the company received an undisclosed amount of venture funding from Alteryx Ventures and Japan’s Dentsu Ventures in April 2023 and July 2023, respectively.
