Realm is a Canadian automated esports tournament platform that allows gamers to gain skills to become professional players. It claims to be one of the first platforms where pro and semi-pro players can engage in a competitive experience together. The players are assigned a rating according to their skill level and they compete against other players with a similar rating. The platform is built using the Hedera public distributed ledger and the Hedera Consensus Service, automatically collecting data and providing insights for players and coaches to improve their performance. In November 2022, the company launched an Apex Legends competition featuring prize money of more than USD 150,000. The competition, which is open to players of different skill levels, was to be launched in the EMEA region and expand to North America in 2023.
