Access TeleCare

Access TeleCare (previously known as SOC Telemed) provides acute and specialty telemedicine services in the US. Founded in 2004, the company offers over 2,500 active telemedicine programs across 10 medical specialties in hospitals in every state. Access TeleCare's services include neurology, behavioral health, hospitalist care, pulmonary and critical care, maternal-fetal medicine, infectious disease, cardiology, nephrology, and endocrinology. The company utilizes a technology-enabled care delivery model to provide prompt neurological expertise and support the full continuum of in-patient and out-patient care. Access TeleCare's teleNeurology program offers board-certified teleNeurologists for immediate acute stroke consultations in emergency departments and in-patient settings as well as management of non-stroke emergencies and routine neurohospitalist services. 

In September 2022, the company acquired Forefront Telecare, expanding its behavioral health offerings and provider network. This acquisition added remote mental health programs and clinicians to Access TeleCare's portfolio. 

Key customers and partnerships

As of July 2024, Access TeleCare's client base included 19 of the 25 largest health systems in the US as well as small rural and community hospitals across the country. As of the same date, the company had a presence in approximately 2,200 hospitals, representing one out of five of all US hospitals.
