Bechester's business model revolves around the circular economy, enabling users to access furniture regardless of their circumstances while extending the useful life of products to achieve sustainability benefits.

The startup has seen significant growth, with revenues increasing 15-fold in the past six months as of May 2022. By the end of 2022, Bechester surpassed EUR 1.5 million in revenues and had sold, rented, or repurposed over 25,000 home articles. The company has partnerships with major brands like IKEA, offering rental options for their furniture, and Testa Home. In its second year of operations since launching in 2021, Bechester has attracted over 400 sellers, listing over 200,000 home products, including sustainable and pre-loved items.

Bechester also caters to businesses, completing over 130 comprehensive projects across sectors like co-livings, hotels, build-to-rent, and vacation rentals. These clients seek sustainable options and prefer outsourcing their furnishing needs to a third party handling everything from interior design proposals to delivery and assembly. Bechester's rental model allows companies to convert capital expenditures (CAPEX) into operational expenses (OPEX), facilitating expansion.

In just six months, the startup has established a presence in the French market, with a local team offering services to businesses. Plans are underway to replicate the marketplace in France in the first half of 2023, enabling French consumers to search and compare hundreds of thousands of home products.
