Ethyca

Ethyca provides a platform that enables organizations to automate data discovery, classification, subject rights management, consent management, data governance, data protection impact assessments, monitoring, and reporting. Ethyca works with companies such as Away, IDEO, and InVision, along with several other large tech companies, banks, and small businesses.

In June 2020, the company launched a self-service tool that enables businesses to sign up and have a running privacy management solution quickly. The company also provides a front-end solution that allows users to manage consent for the collection of their data. Any change made by the user is applied to their data automatically throughout the organization. The company also open-sourced its internally developed tools called Fides that will allow developers to build privacy tools and monitoring mechanisms directly into their code.

Ethyca raised USD 13.5 million in Series A funding in June 2020. This round was later extended in November 2021 by USD 7.5 million, from existing investors such as Lee Fixel, IA Ventures, Lachy Groom’s LGF, and Table Management. The company expects to use the new funds to continue expanding its team and build its business.
