Adalo is a no-code development platform that allows users to create internal and external, web and mobile apps via drag and drop tools. The platform supports interface elements such as lists, text inputs, number fields, dropdowns, and calendars, among other elements, and also lets users create dynamic dashboards. Adalo also offers integrations with payment providers such as Stripe.
Adalo operates an app marketplace that features app components made by external developers, which can be used for a fee. Although the company initially focused on small businesses, it eventually added larger companies to its customer base. As of May 2021, Adalo had a base of over 1,000 enterprise customers and more than 220,000 users on its platform.
In May 2021, Adalo raised USD 8 million in a Series A funding round led by Tiger Global. It expects to use the funds in tripling its workforce to 60 employees within 12-18 months, and also investing in adding new features and content to its platform, supporting users through the app development process, and enhancing its go-to-market efforts.
