Freedom Robotics, initially founded in 2018 and out of stealth in July 2019, offers cloud and on-device software infrastructure to control, monitor, and manage robots and robotic fleets via desktops, smartphones, or an Application Program Interface (API). This is to enable the control of both small and large robotics fleets with only one line of code. The company claims that installation can be done in minutes, and the software allows it to manage fleets of thousands of robots either on-site or remotely. Freedom Robotics software is being used in various industries such as manufacturing, logistics, agriculture, and restaurants.
Key customers and partnerships
In January 2023, Freedom Robotics partnered with Luos, a maintainer of a microservices architecture open source project for edge and embedded systems, to enable remote-monitoring and controlling of devices over the internet by integrating technologies.
Funding and financials
Freedom Robotics’ most recent funding round was seed funding worth USD 6.6 million in July 2019, led by Initialized Capital. The funds were intended to build the Freedom Robotics team and invest in product development to accelerate growth.
