Zinnia is a company that specializes in providing insurance solutions, primarily focusing on life insurance and annuities. It offers a platform designed to streamline the insurance process for carriers and distributors, aiming to improve consumer access to coverage and enhance efficiency and performance by utilizing AI and data science.

Zinnia offers comprehensive end-to-end solutions for insurance companies, including policy administration systems for managing policy lifecycles, claims processing automation, customer relationship management tools, and lead generation systems. The platform allows carriers to quickly develop and launch new products while providing a marketplace for policy comparison and purchase and supporting initial lead generation to policy issuance and ongoing management. 

In April 2023, Zinnia acquired Policygenius, a digital insurance marketplace, to create the industry's first front-to-back architecture to power the insurance value chain and better serve carriers, advisors, and policyholders. The partnership expanded Zinnia's reach into digital distribution solutions and combined Policygenius' consumer-focused platform with Zinnia's technology capabilities and third-party administrator infrastructure.

In March 2024, Zinnia acquired Life Product Solutions (LPS) Group, a long-time partner, to accelerate the delivery of Zahara by Zinnia, its system of record software, and accelerate the development of Open Insurance Experiences for clients. Adding LPS Group enhanced Zinnia's ability to implement its Zahara system and enabled faster development and launch of life and annuity products.

Key customers and partnerships

In September 2024, Zinnia formed a strategic relationship with LPL Financial, the largest broker-dealer in the US. This partnership provided LPL's network of over 23,000 financial advisors with access to the Policygenius Pro by Zinnia platform. It aimed to simplify insurance fulfillment for advisors, offering tools to accelerate life insurance sales and streamline the application process.

In June 2024, Zinnia partnered with Digital Asset to use its distributed ledger technology (DLT) as the foundation for Zahara. This collaboration aimed to enhance the speed of new insurance product launches, increase efficiencies, and provide an improved insurance administration and servicing solution. The partnership focused on creating a single-source-of-truth solution and improving data exchange across the insurance value chain.
