Founded in 2018 by Michael Ioffe, Maxine Anderson, and Ryan Laverty, Arist provides an enterprise-level text messaging platform for employee education, training, and outreach. The platform offers text message templates that can be personalized and updated. Unlike video and digital courses that can be expensive and time-consuming to build, Arist’s text message courses allow subjects to be broken down into smaller parts that can be accessed anytime and anywhere. Additionally, the Arist platform can be integrated with employers’ customer relationship management and learning management systems. As of February 2021, the company had delivered more than 50,000 courses for clients, including corporations, governments, and nonprofits.
In February 2021, Arist updated its platform to enable the life sciences industry to send text messages and other digital assets for employee onboarding and training, physician education, sales representative training, patient outreach, and medication adherence.
Originally intended for corporate learning, the company is offering its Arist platform for public service campaigns and has already partnered with the state of California for an emergency preparedness campaign as well as with the non-profit organization First Draft to combat misinformation. In May 2021, the company announced that its technology has been optimized to support advertising agencies, PR professionals, non-profits, government organizations, and media companies to deliver public service announcements (PSAs) via text message.
In October 2020, Arist raised USD 1.9 million in seed funding and closed an additional USD 2 million in December 2020 after demonstrating improved business performance with large clients. The funds will be used to increase its engineering team headcount.
