By partnering with existing safety-net organizations, Pair Team acts as an extension of their teams, providing a multi-disciplinary care team of community health workers, behavioral health specialists, and nurses. As of December 2023, Pair Team engaged upwards of 49% of eligible high-needs patients, demonstrating a 34% reduction in emergency department utilization. In October 2023, Pair Team raised USD 9 million in Series A funding led by NEXT VENTURES to accelerate its expansion across California. In December 2023, the company expanded into seven new California markets to increase accessibility to CalAIM care benefits.
