Evoware

Indonesia’s Evoware offers sustainable packaging solutions through its brands “Evoware” and “Evoworld”. Evoware products include food packaging solutions from seaweed. Other products offered under the brand include a damar resin packaging solution made from fig trees that can hold liquids for personal care products and medical supplies. Evoware’s seaweed products include edible cups (with different flavors and nutrient profiles), sachet packets, food wraps, and straws. According to the company, compared to bioplastics from land crops, seaweed-based packaging has a higher level of sustainability, scalability, and quality.

The Evoworld brand offers alternatives to single-use plastic products that are biodegradable, compostable, and edible. Products under the brand include bags from bio-polymers (cassava or cornstarch), sugarcane-based food containers, paper straws, rice straws (edible straws made from rice and tapioca), and birch and bamboo-based disposable cutlery.

As of January 2020, the company had tested edible burger wrappers and begun the commercialization of edible instant noodle seasoning sachets and coffee pouches.
