Netherlands-based Xosight develops AI-powered autonomous drones to track inventory and monitor warehouse operations. Xosight’s drones are equipped with high-resolution omnidirectional cameras to capture images. It uses AI and edge computing to generate high-level insights for collision avoidance and navigation. The drones are also cloud-connected and can be integrated with warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
The features of the drones include reading texts and barcodes, measuring pallet inventory level volumes and box counts, and automatic location identification. The drones also have the ability to track inventory from different perspectives including pick cart checks, inbound checks, cycle counting, order picking location checks, and picking confirmation.
In April 2020, the company carried out a successful pilot test of its fully autonomous solution in a warehouse.
