Founded in 2010 by Arpit Jain, Joy Deep Nath, Mayank Jain, and Umang Jain, StudyPad aims to make K-12 learning fun and personalized. Its flagship product SplashLearn (previously known as Splash Math) replaces books and videos with game-based math and reading courses for preK-5 children.
As of February 2021, the company’s library included more than 4,000 interactive activities which can be delivered to each student as a 15-20 minute daily personalized learning experience. The platform is accessible to parents for a monthly subscription and to schools at no cost.
The platform is reportedly used by one in seven elementary school children in the US, and one in three US schools. As of February 2021, the platform had more than 40 million registered students and more than 750,000 registered teachers across more than 150 countries, with the US accounting for 80% of revenue.
In February 2021, the company raised USD 18 million in a Series C funding round to expand its presence in the US, UK, Australia, and Canada, expand its new tutoring service and content offerings, and increase headcount.
