Massachusetts-based Aliro Technologies is a quantum software company spun out of the NarangLab at Harvard University in 2019. It focuses on offering hardware-independent toolkits for developers of quantum algorithms and applications, including network simulation and emulation tools compatible with existing quantum systems.
The company offers a quantum entanglement-as-a-service (Quantum EaaS) called the Aliro Q.Network, which allows the design of quantum-classical network systems by providing simulation, custom topology support, and assistance in error correction. In December 2023, Aliro Quantum developed Aliro Simulator , a modular quantum network simulator that simplifies building a quantum network.
Key customers and partnerships
In March 2021, Aliro Quantum partnered with the NSF Quantum Leap Challenge Institute for Hybrid Quantum Architectures and Networks (HQAN) to develop foundational technology for distributed quantum networks
Funding and financials
In October 2023, the company raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Cisco Investments as part of its Series A round announced earlier in the month. The round was led by the Leaders Fund. The proceeds were allocated to strengthen R&D efforts and expand go-to-market programs.
