Tilt Five is an AR startup that offers out-of-the-box tabletop games that use 3D holographic images projected onto a gameboard. The tabletop games can be played in the physical presence of others or remotely. Users wear AR glasses that have a 110-degree field of view and weigh 30%–80% less than a typical mixed-reality headset, which provides a personal view of the virtual board game that emerges from the holographic environment. This avoids the use of split screens and does not require players to hide card hands during play. It also includes a gaming controller that provides six degrees of freedom in terms of control, allowing users to interact with the 3D environment and other players. Embedded camera systems track game pieces and player movements, while stereo speakers and microphones allow players to call each other out.
The systems are sold outright with prices ranging between USD 300-960, and feature games of genres such as simulation, RPG adventures, puzzles, and strategy games. Tilt Five gaming systems are compatible with Windows 10 PCs, while support for Android devices was to be launched later.
The company also offers an enterprise collaboration platform, capable of design reviews and immersive learning experiences utilizing the Tilt Five 3D Model Viewer.
