WhiskerDocs claims that it consists of licensed veterinary experts with an average experience of 20 years, as well as experienced veterinary technicians. As of May 2021, the company served approximately 3 million pets across the US and Canada through client partnerships and direct-to-consumer relationships. Pet owners can pay for WhiskerDocs services per engagement or on a subscription basis. A one-off call or chat costs USD 39.99, while a monthly membership subscription costs USD 16.99 (USD 129.99 annually).

In January 2020, the company received a patent for its decision support process, which can provide pet owners with a neutral and unbiased opinion based on algorithms. The company has also entered partnerships with pet service companies to offer their customers telehealth veterinary services. In May 2020, WhiskerDocs partnered with PetIQ (a pet medication and wellness company) to make its services available to PetIQ’s loyal customers on a complimentary basis. In April 2021, the company announced the opening of a new satellite office in Southern California.

In May 2021, the company announced plans to expand its services to include avian telehealth in the summer of 2021. The new offering, aims to provide bird owners the same instant access facility which is currently offered by WhiskerDocs to dog and cat owners through multiple channels. The avian services will be offered via sponsored partnership offerings, where bird owners will be able to directly enroll their pets to the WhiskerDocs online platform.
